Lionel Richie

Lionel Richie stopped off in Washington, D.C. on his Sing A Song All Night Long Tour with Earth, Wind & Fire. It was so rewarding to see him in person and to experience all the music I enjoyed listening to on the radio. I noticed Tom Joyner as he came into the show to sit on the front row. Both Lionel Richie and Earth, Wind & Fire acknowledged him as being a great support to them over the years. They emphasized how Tom Joyner played them on the radio at times when other stations would not. I remember listening to Tom Joyner on local radio and always enjoyed his show and could feel his authenticity even through radio.
